http://www.bizasia.com/tourism_/ibkz3/new_budget_airlines_bring_new.htmBasically this website is trying to say that with budget airlines, more people will able to afford taking planes as transport to overseas instead of taking trains, coaches and ships which will take a longer time.
http://www.manilatimes.net/national/2007/dec/02/yehey/top_stories/20071202top4.htmlThis webpage is actually a newspaper report. It is trying to tell the readers how the budget airlines cope with the maintenance fees and the industry in the asia even though their tickets prices are so cheap.

With more affordable air fares and ease of travel, business and leisure travelers in the region and beyond Asia can now visit Singapore more often. On top of that, flexible booking methods practiced by the budget airlines are also one of the key point to its success in asian tourism industry.

This is done so with the aim to boost tourism in Asia. Tourism industry in Asia is still not widely affected by the low cost airlines due to the perception of low service standard provided and also the standard of the flight security. From my research, many people prefer to spend more on their air tickets to ensure their safety than saving up the air fare.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------May Yong (0607432B)

Conclusion Our resources discussed about the positive impact of budget airlines on tourism industry. With more affordable air fares, tourists are more willing to travel, therefore business and leisure travelers in Asia can now visit Singapore more often. In Malaysia, an Asia's first purpose-built budget airline terminal was proposed with the aim of boosting the tourism industry. However, air catastrophes are still feared by travelers, questioning if their safety are ensured even if they travel in low cost carriers. Due to the controversy of the level of security in budget air planes, the IATA emphasized that security will not be compromised even though for the lower air fares.
Despite the fact that budget airlines do have its risky downside; people are still willing to take a risk to travel on much cheaper airlines, which in turn create a boost in traveling and tourism industry. Moreover, after the Phuket crash incident, it is believed that low cost carriers will take more precaution in ensuring the agreed safety level for the passengers.
