Topic: Impact of Drugs on Youths
Done by: Kenneth Lee

Introduction
More people are abusing drugs today than in any other time in history, and many of those people are youth.

Drugs, a psychoactive substance that people take to change the way they feel, think or behave. Drug abusehas many negative physiological health effects, ranging from minor issues like digestion problems or respiratory infections, to potentially fatal diseases, like AIDS. The effects also depend on the drug and on the amount, method and frequency of use. Some drugs which are very addictive, like heroin, can cause physiological dependence even if the user only uses it for a short period, which means that when the person stops taking drugs, he/she experiences physical withdrawal symptoms and a craving for the drug.

Finally, drug abuse damages the ability of people to act as free and conscious beings, capable of taking action to fulfill their needs.

The website also covers a spectrum of topics in relation to the impact of drug abuse. The links to external sources provides extensive information and are quite useful.

Brief Evaluation of Resource
The website is an authoritative source as it is formed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes. The website also promotes readers to join and comment about their website. If the reader has any queries, he or she can also send an email to the global youth network team.

The facts that the website provides are accurate. There is no political, ideological or biasness in the website. The information they provide does not contain any opinions and the references are at the bottom of the webpage. However, there are a few minor grammatical errors in the website. Although the information provided on the website is not very extensive, the information provided on the website is up-to-date and well maintained.

The website is also easily accessible and does not need prior registration. The website have clear headings to indicate the individual topics which makes the website user-friendly. The side bar also provides easy navigation around the sites.

My overall impression of the quality of the website is average. Although the website is easy to navigate and search for information, the amount of information provided is too little.

Done By : Pour Bao Guang

A glance

Piracy had been a problem when people make duplicates of games and software out of the original and resell them at a much cheap price. However, it does not just end there. The arrival of Internet, and the improvements to the Internet, thus Web 2.0 is born. With the capabilities of Web 2.0, users can watch movies and even live previews from the stadiums. Adding to it, Bit-Torrent came out as well. By enabling Peer-to-Peer transfer, users can now download anything from the web, as long there are uploaders. With this, users can just upload movie into the web, and other users could download and share around with friends, and other downloaders too.

Therefore, the advancement of Internet did really cause the increase in piracy.

Brief Evaluation of Resource
As the site is a fan made website. There are a lot of reviews and certain posts might not be correct at all and that includes on how to draw the characters and stuff. The site is also rather difficult to find as it has almost no links to link in over here. Also the user is required to read a lot of posts before getting what they might require. There might be a search box but some of the post might not be helpful at all. Overall this site is quite good, however the user is required to do a lot of digging in order to get a topic on the drawing

URL : http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1699

Purpose:
The website is stated very clearly however, you are required to click two times before being able to find out what are their aims. Their purpose is to translate manga from the Japanese language to English, and they use quality translators so that reading them is fun.

Coverage:
The site mostly focuses on the manga translations and the teaching of the Japanese language to users online. The manga translations are rather limited to the very famous one but unpopular ones are not in the site at all but users can use the tool to translate the language themselves so that they understand what the book is saying. They mainly focus on the manga story and translations as well, however they also have a small portion for drawing techniques and just plain talking as well. However there aren’t linked to other sides unless the users post the links on the forum.

Authority:
I don’t think this is a authoritative source as this site is created out of pure fan desire and this site can be hardly found on any other sites

Accuracy:
The facts are accurate as they follow the manga the story and they did research on who are the manga artists and what are certain terms mean in Japanese. Biasness is one of the main part of the site as there are people who hate certain manga or those who like them so they either give civisms or opinions about it. The site is a factual and a opinion one as well where they also talk about how the storyline should go or how they should do certain techniques in reading Japanese. However since it is a forum, there are quite a lot of spelling mistakes and so on as they use chatting lingo to talk.

Currency:
The information is kept to date every week with every new manga out and it is well maintained as well.
